Drowning

Two people, with same goal it seems.

Different perspectives, one misunderstanding.

It takes less than a day to lose someone,

Less than a day to wake up in reality.

I’m drowning in deep sea

Inch by inch, thoughts per thought.

Reached the peak of the darkness

And saw thousands of me, laughing

When I was getting crucified

For the sins I hadn't committed.

Quickly, I closed my eyes

To hide my scars to comfort myself

Then I saw you, with a sad profile.

Lurking around my emotions.

Till this second, I thought we were inseparable.

I have plenty of unanswered questions

Relived around my noggin.

I started to cry to the depths of the sea

You didn’t even try to see through me,

Yes, the real me.

At the end, I came up

With a conclusion,

We could’ve worked on ‘us’; Instead

We let the demons shatter us into hell.

The time has come to an end

With no chances for a comeback,

The thousand faces and you are gone now

But before going,

You looked at me with your eyes

And didn’t even say goodbye, face to face

For the last time.

It takes less than a day to lose someone.

Less than a day to wake up in reality.

I’m still drowning in deep sea

Inch by inch, thoughts per thought.
